Talascend is currently seeking a Systems Analyst for a direct hire opportunity located in Windsor, Connecticut.
Design, develop, implement, maintain, control, audit, test, support and analyze a wide variety of information systems considering existing business/process models and data flows. Formulate and define system scope and objectives, and develop solutions to complex problems involving applications, systems analysis and software programming activities. Devise and implement measures to improve operations and increase productivity.
Initiate and promote cost-effective measures to improve operations through process redesign and automation. Help the business adapt to process changes by documenting and communicating changes, and by creating solutions to facilitate the transition.
Investigate requirements, define scope and objectives of development/implementation projects and prepare schedules, considering capacity limitations and desired results. Prepare detailed specifications and communicate actively with business users and development teams while managing stakeholder expectations. Test and document developed solutions to ensure that business requirements are fully met. Train business users on new functionality as appropriate.
Provide system and application support to business users; ensure accuracy of information and responsiveness to user requirements. Administer and support business applications by maintaining user access accounts and providing appropriate level of security to users. Audit system usage to ensure compliance and security of business data. Maintain hardware and software inventory and validate invoices for information systems services.
Analyze product and process data and prepare related reports and recommendations. Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve complex business and technical problems, and develop and implement measures to prevent recurrence. Coordinate with other groups/business units to ensure compliance and promote sharing of solutions/systems
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
