Schneider Electric Oil and Gas North America has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to assume the role of Systems Analyst in our Houston, TX location. This position is intermediate level and is held by individuals who have 3+ years experience with designing, preparing, testing and installing software applications, identifying, analyzing and adapting functional specifications in order to deliver a tested application that meets the requirements of the end customer.


-Involved in the development and configuration of multiple components of a system
-Depending on project assignments, an individual in this position may participate in the design, development, documentation, testing, deployment and commissioning of a system
-Understanding of the applicable technologies and the industry applications they are used in
-Perform project work according to defined procedures
-Leadership responsibilities may include providing technical guidance to other members of the department
-May be assigned a project role which would involve them in the technical leadership and planning activities of a project
-Working directly with a Customers Engineering and Operations staff to produce a solution to meet their requirements
-Fosters cooperation and collaboration among individuals in a work unit


-3+ years related post-secondary experience in software/systems development, preferably in the Oil and Gas Industry
-A Bachelors in Engineering; preferably Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a Computer Science degree
-Engineer in training or has a professional desire to obtain Professional Engineer designation
-3+ years of experience in working with relational databases, SQL server preferred, working knowledge of stored procedures, triggers, functions, T-SQL
-3+ years of experience in working with C, C++, and/or C#, preferably in conjunction with MS SQL Server
-Experience using Source Control tools
-Software development life-cycle including design documentation, coding, and testing
-Adaptability & flexibility to change
