The Information Services Systems Engineer (ECM) position is responsible for the design, development implementation and support of enterprise content management solutions. Typical tasks will include, but are not limited to: requirements gathering, analysis, software architecture and design, software development, testing, implementation and documentation.
Specific duties related to this position include:
Analyzes, designs, build, test, and implement technology solutions that meet the specifications of a project or service request.. Effectively utilizes standard enterprise tools to develop or implement technical solutions. Writes test cases and report results. Identifies problems following problem management expectations and performs problem resolution. Resolve most issues independently or escalates as needed to senior engineers. Provides preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolves routine problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability. Adheres to standards and best practices, processes, and deliverables in accordance with standards. Participates in defining operational readiness requirements. Follows testing best practices and standards. Adheres to SLA expectations. Mentors staff as needed on standards and best practices. Writes technical specifications for respective applications or infrastructure platforms.
Participates in creating prototypes or proofs of concepts for new infrastructure technology. Implements applications or infrastructure components according to requirements, specifications and standards. Stays current with respective technology capabilities. Collaborates with vendor partners and contractors.
Works with Project Managers to resolve requirements gaps uncovered in design or within specifications or requirements. Prepares and shares technical documentation current for platform, service or infrastructure technical components. Adheres to change and incident management standards and expectations. Hardware (scanners) integration.
WORK EXPERIENCE\SKILL SET
AA/AS Degree or equivalent experience is required. Minimum of 4-6 years work experience. Experience with Perceptive Software, Scanners, and or content management is desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication skills, both written and oral. Demonstrate ability to manage and deliver quality deliverables in dynamically changing and complex environment Po ssesses strong detailed analytical, problem solving and results oriented skills. Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures. Strong working knowledge and experience with the SDLC process. Detail oriented to understand client (user) business. Possesses strong interpersonal skills. Strong business analysis skills. Strong computer skills. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel. Able to work in a dynamically changing environment with competing priorities. Strong customer service skills . Strong organizational skills . Above average critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to see resolution of system design conflicts for points of integration and can effectively communicate risk implications to team mates and business partners.
Ability to work some nights and weekends. Availability for rotating on-call responsibility 24/7.
