Responsible for designing, documenting and implementing technological platforms

  • Networking
    • Administers and maintains internal corporate network infrastructure
    • Administers and maintains corporate WAN
    • Designs, Installs and upgrades network equipment
    • Documents network configuration and procedures
    • Ability to design, develop, and support creative technology solutions and apply them to solve complex business requirements
    • Evaluate and recommend applicable network technology solutions
  • Systems
  • Administers and maintains corporate computing systems
  • Designs, installs and upgrades computing software and systems
  • Documents systems configuration and procedures
  • Performs basic and more complex troubleshooting, backup, archiving, and disaster recovery
  • Escalates troubleshooting to more senior staff or other departments / organizations as necessary
  • Assists in the development of internal training material for network infrastructure, systems, policies & procedures
  • Develops and presents for “Knowledge Shares”
  • Participates fully in “Knowledge Shares”
  • Increase knowledge through internal resources, supervisors, fellow employee’s, company trainings and trade publications
  • Training & Documentation
    • Mentors junior team members
  • Security
    • Maintains Security & Compliance policy
    • Assists with security policy and notifies of potential issues
  • Customer Service
  • Participate in and contribute to special projects initiated within the business units and IT department
  • Assists in planning and execution of projects
  • Ensure high service levels consistent with current and future business requirements
    • Understands expectations that were set with internal clients and recognizes when issues/events may affect delivery
    • Anticipates internal client needs before they arise and presents solutions that encompass issues at hand
    • Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external clients
  • On Call & After Hours
  • Participates in On Call & After Hours support as required
  • Clear and effective oral and written communications in both technical and non-technical formats

Education and Experience

3-5 years IT experience required.

Degree in Computer and Information Science or related field preferred.

Current MCSE and/or CCNA certification OR demonstration of equivalent knowledge required.
