CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING AND SELECTION: Colsa Corporation is seeking to hire a Threat Ballistic Missile Engineer. The candidate will provide the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) community with representative data of ballistic missiles to include developing specifications and digital models of adversary missiles along with producing trajectory and signature data for insertion into Hardware-In-The Loop (HWIL) radar systems. The candidate will analyze threat representation of ground and flight test targets and apply pre/post- ground and flight target data into the HWIL systems.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of five years systems engineering experience. Knowledge of flight dynamics and radar cross section (RCS) models. Experience creating and analyzing trajectories for BMDS threats. Strong understanding of RCS scattering center models such as Statistical Debris, N-Point, and APSM. Must be able to interact effectively with individuals of different experience levels and backgrounds including government and external industry personnel. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Prepare and present technical briefings to customers. Current DoD SECRET clearance is required.
Desired skills: Familiarity with Solaris and Linux operating systems. Perl and Ada programming experience. Matlab experience.
