Minimum Skills/Certifications:

This position requires DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II certifications:

Must have one of the following certifications: GSEC, Security+, SCNP, or SSCP.

Must have one approved Operating System certification.

Desired Skills:
Knowledge of Navy Computer Network Defense (CND) and CND Service Provider (CNDSP) programs.

Knowledge of Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) desired.

Knowledge of Navy IT-21, ONE-NET, and ENE programs.

Knowledge of Navy Information Assurance systems and development processes.

Primary Duties, Responsibilities, & Essential Job Functions:
Primary responsibility will be to act as a technical liaison between Navy Cyber Defense Operations Command (NCDOC), PMW 130, and the engineering centers located at SPAWAR System Center Atlantic (SSC-LANT) and SPAWAR System Center Pacific (SSC-PAC).

Candidate will be assigned tasking related to critical Information Assurance capabilities such as Enterprise IDS/IPS, HBSS, System Logging, VPN, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), global security policy development.

Candidate will be responsible for requirements development, project planning and execution, resource management, and collaborative testing.

Travel will be required to attend meetings and conferences, including travel to primary engineering centers located in Charleston, SC and San Diego, CA.

Required work experience requirements include a solid understanding of the following principles:

Network Security:

Network based IPS/IDS

Virtual Private Networks

UTM Devices

Host based security

System logging and event correlation

Security Compliance Scanning

General IT:
Routing and Switching

Windows based OS

Linux based OS

Databases and SQL

System Engineering:
Requirements Development


Project Management:
Project Life Cycle

POA&M development

Resource management

Stakeholder interaction:
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience working within a large-scale LAN/WAN environment

Experience working with Navy Network Operation Center a plus.
