The System Engineer is responsible for planning, creating, and
maintaining system environments and interfaces in support of flagship
Responsibility includes gathering of system requirements,
managing computational resources (including resource allocation,
planning, performance measurement, failover, maintenance, and
reporting), and supporting upgrades of hardware and software. Works
with dynamic group deploying and supporting mission-critical software
to HQ and the field.
Proficient in developing and implementing Service Oriented
Expertise in all phases of object-oriented systems development,
analysis, and design.
Development experience building enterprise level web based
Experience in leading technical teams developing large
application web based applications.
Experience in web services, applied technologies, software and
systems integration, requirements identification, services
specification, development, quality assurance, test and integration
project functions, system design, software engineering, process
definition, data and component modeling of customized information
Experience in designing analysis capabilities to support
efficient operator use of large scale scientific processing
Previous experience in evaluating and assisting in the
selection and procurement of hardware and software
Identifies technology gaps in current capabilities and
Develops project plans and workflow based on a project
Details current and future technology
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Strong communication and organizational skills a must.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a science or engineering
related field of study with at least 3 years applicable experience.
