The SE III should be focusing on providing high-level technical support and technology direction guidance to AM, customers, and partners. The SE III will be looking for ways to build his/her influence inside and outside of Cisco; scalability of information sharing is a key criteria for an SE III role. The SE III should be building and presenting Cisco product, technology and solutions information to a range of internal and external audiences, he/she should also be known outside of his/her account team for expertise either in a technology/range of technologies or for customer relationship skills, understanding customer needs, and applying relevant Cisco solutions and resources to meet these needs. An SE III will start to share his/her knowledge within the account team and may provide informal training to customers and partners to develop further Cisco skills. An SE III will lead RFPs/RFIs and provide technical consulting skills to customers and partners.

5-7+ years-related pre-sales experience (virtual selling experience highly desirable)
Cisco product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings in technology area of emphasis BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent
Cisco Certifications CCNP, CCDA, or CCIE highly desirable
