Individual will be part of the Enterprise Systems Engineering team based at Bolling Air Force Base, DC and providing engineering support to the Air Force District of Washington including Andrews Air Force Base, the Pentagon and auxiliary sites in the National Capital Region (NCR). The scope of Enterprise Systems Engineering includes both large- and small-scale customer-driven projects and enterprise infrastructure and operational projects. Individual will be expected to own and manage projects from inception to completion including technical assessments, architectural design and planning, integration, testing, and implementation.
As a senior-level engineer, individual will be expected to perform and manage tasking with little direct supervision. Individual may also expect to lead small teams and complex projects.
Specific position requires strong Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 and 2007 implementation and maintenance experience, as well as extensive knowledge and familiarity with the DoD Public Key Infrastructure and remote access technologies.
This contract requires a US citizen with a DoD security clearance (selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information).
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and support ability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
