Snap One is looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to report to our Director of IT & Analytics. The Systems Engineer is crucial to our operations in support of company growth.

The ideal candidate is expected to work with the IT and Analytics team. You must have a solid understanding in Apple OSX platform, networking and security, and internal system management. MSSQL Database Management and SSIS experience a plus.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

The Candidate will be the Systems Engineer and will be directly responsible for all facets of SnapOne, Inc. Internal technical support requirements. Responsibilities include but are not limited:
  • Establishes, maintains, and manages users and computers within an Apple OSX Server Platform
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Company’s internal infrastructure at multiple locations across the country
  • Maintain an accurate location and history of the Company’s assets
  • Running deployment scripts and tracking change management
  • Performs training to the internal staff on new systems and procedures
  • Troubleshooting issues as they arise within a timely manner while maintaining an accurate historic log of downtime and issues
  • Installs and maintains best practices and system updates company wide
  • Develops procedures, programs and documentation for backup, restoration of internal systems and data
  • Maintain accurate monitoring on all internal systems
  • Provide 24/7 Availability for business impacting level issues
  • Be savvy in the Microsoft Office suite and capable of delivering basic Excel reports
You should specialize in at least one of the following and be acquainted with:
  • Apple OS X Server and Client Platforms
  • Windows Server 2008
  • Amazon Cloud Platform API
  • Google Apps
  • VMWare ESXi
  • Nagios Monitoring Platform
  • GLPI Asset Management
  • VPN Configurations including Point to Point
  • Basic IP Routing and Network Topology
