Oakwood Systems Group continues to build its Systems Management Practice and is adding Sr. Microsoft System Center Engineers to the team.
The System Center Engineer will design and deploy complex solutions. They will resolve engagement requirements without having to escalate to additional resources. Individual has a mix of advanced technology and practical, operational acumen.
The role requires both broad and deep technical knowledge and the ability to architect a solution by mapping a customer’s business problem to an end to end technology solution. The System Center Engineer should possess a strong knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems through Windows 2008 R2; Active Directory and Directory Services knowledge necessary; experience with Microsoft or third-party configuration management, monitoring, service management, and/or virtualization platforms; familiarity with MOF or ITIL is a plus.
Candidate must have a demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology decision maker discussions related to agility, business value.
This role manages the complete lifecycle of large and complex projects. He or she must exhibit a passion for the customer which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience.
Requirements are as follows:3+ years of experience in any of the following:
Microsoft System Center platforms, including SCCM, SCOM, SCVMM, SCSM, or competitive products
Desktop Deployments and Migrations with XP, Vista, Windows 7
Microsoft Desktop Optimization Package (MDOP)
Application Compatibility or Application Compatibility Factory (ACF)
Windows server and desktop image design
Experience with ancillary technologies such as Microsoft Deployment Tool Kit, MAP Tool, PXE, WinPE, imagex, WSUS 3.0, vbscripting, etc.
Familiar with related technologies such as Active directory, DNS, WDS, DHCP, etc.
Experience with ITIL or MOF frameworks
At least 10 years’ experience of hands on technical and design experience with Microsoft Enterprise technologies
At least 5 years’ experience of customer consulting
Demonstrated project experience with regard to estimates, planning and deliverables
Demonstrated ability to understand a customer's needs
Experience developing technical requirements based on business imperatives
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
