The incumbent will serve as the systems architect responsible for the design of Logistics business solutions, collaborate across different functional teams to support NOL’s Logistics Services, and oversee internal and outsourced resources for analysis, development, testing, implementation and post go-live support of Logistics Systems.

The incumbent will provide innovative solutions to complex problems, work with business users to identify opportunities where IT can improve productivity, lower costs, increase efficiency, enhance users’ experience, and support initiatives to align the IT solutions to the corporate enterprise architecture.

Accountabilities:

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
  • Business Requirements
    • Discuss, Capture and validate business requirements with Customers & Users
    • Develop and/or Review business requirements specification
    • Translate business requirements to functional solution specifications to commencement of configuration or development
  • Requirements Analysis
    • Participate in discussion with product/technical team to evaluate feasibility of proposed changes
    • Advise or propose to business users on process improvement/re-engineering through the use of IT solution
  • Software Development
    • Performs solution design, configuration or development and unit testing for new projects and enhancement requests
    • Track and monitor enhancement and support deliverables by service providers (e.g. AMS) as specified in the SLA
    • Track and monitor project deliverables by product team as per agreed timeline
  • Testing
    • Develop Systems Integration test plans
    • Oversee system integration testing
    • Support user acceptance testing and training
    • Manage resolution in user acceptance testing
  • Deployment/Implementation
    • Plan and Coordinate with customers or users the project rollout or enhancement implementation
  • Application Support
    • Ensure application security, audit and process compliance for systems in managed project, support and enhancements
    • Provide L3 support 24 x 7 x 365 as the Subject Matter Expert for the supported application systems
    • Ensure 24 x 7 applications availability and applications performance
Key Results:
  • Delivery of timely and cost effective IT solution that meets business requirements
  • Manage and control expense budget of managed project or enhancement
  • Manage Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Application Maintenance Service (AMS) of outsourced vendors
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Information Systems Technology, Computer Science or equivalent required.
  • 7 – 10 years within the Logistic industry, information technology, or systems engineering
  • 7 – 10 years experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with exposure to complex landscape
  • 5 – 7 years involved in business analysis, solution design and/or project management
  • Broad knowledge of the client area functions and applications, and in-depth knowledge of system and technology alternatives.
  • Develop project plans and implementation estimates for supply chain industry clients.
  • Translate business requirements into functional requirements ( or non-functional requirements)
  • Experience in different phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities

  • Ability to make decisions based on numerous variables.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task; maintaining strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Above average problem solving and decision making skills necessary.

  • Proven customer service skills are required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships.
  • Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to identify and assess work patterns, trends, and functional / technical requirements
  • Ability to plan, design, develop, and manage integrated solutions based upon requirements.
  • Requires ability to gauge opportunities for process improvement and develop/implement process improvements independently and in a team.
  • Experience gathering requirements, conducting business analysis, and writing business specifications is required.
  • Proven success in developing test plans, system testing, and verification of results required.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions necessary.
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills essential.
  • Proven ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, etc.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material with a level of professionalism and integrity
