We are looking for a Systems Manager for our Business Intelligence & Data Warehouse team. Our Systems Manager works under the direction of a Senior IT (Information Technology) manager, the incumbent directs managerial and professional staff of multiple IT departments. Responsible for the preparation, review and consolidation of budgets and business plans. Plays a leadership role in developing and maintaining business partner relationships and in setting long-term strategy for application selection, software systems development and systems maintenance to support business partner objectives. Ensures adherence to plans through review of project execution versus plan, financial reports and capital appropriation requests. Develops, implements and enforces policies, standards and methodologies. Responsible for execution of Human Resource strategies and for ensuring security of applicable IT systems.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and maintains strong business partner relationships at a senior/middle management level.
Accountable for planning and execution of multiple IT projects; provides leadership for multiple project teams.
Accountable for IT resource allocation, expense management, development of project objectives and ongoing communication of project outcomes.
Accountable for resolving high-impact problems related to project execution; finding solutions in spite of continued obstacles.
Accountable for setting aggressive performance expectations and holding staff accountable for delivery of results. Provides leadership by example in coaching, performance management and career development.
Accountable for effective application of Unum Human Resources policies and practices.
Provides leadership in on-going, cost-effective applications development methodology.
This position requires a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent and twelve years experience
Distributed development environment experience
Experience with CMS (Sitecore preferred)
Demonstrated leadership in developing strategic IT plans that address business priorities
Ability to develop execution strategies including resource allocations and budgets
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-impact projects and perform multiple roles within these projects
Capable of performing project leader role on multiple medium to large projects while demonstrating a high degree of knowledge of the Navigator project tool.
Demonstrated working knowledge of applications development methodology
Demonstrated working knowledge of Data Analysis concepts and relevant technical environments
Working knowledge of IT functionality and integration across business processes
