We are seeking a Systems Modeling Applications Engineer to lead development
facing, advanced technical support activities directed toward the customers of Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) who are modelling systems as part of their product development.
You will support engineers using MathWorks modelling and hardware in the loop tools by developing models and libraries in order to assemble system-level models that span multiple domains and include the system in a single environment. You will support all phases of Model-Based Design, including converting the system models to C code for deployment to other environments for tasks such as offline simulation and real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
Prepare and deliver proof-of-concept presentations to customers and prospects during customer meetings and seminars. These presentations often include, but are not limited to live demonstrations of Simulink, the Simscape-based product suite, and related products.
Support customer product evaluations. This requires assisting customers in the development and application of MATLAB/Simulink programs that solve specific problems. To facilitate this process, knowledge and skills in the following areas are often necessary: electrical, rapid prototyping and/or hardware in the loop testing,
microcode, operating systems, device drivers, embedded software etc.
Share experiences with other Application and Development Engineers and Marketing staffs to ensure that future products are being delivered that truly meet and exceed expectations.
Communicate and work together with MathWorks and Analog Devices development staffs when inherent tool design knowledge is needed. Provide direct customer feedback to Analog Devices development teams for future enhancements to products since customer interactions will be of the highest technical nature.
BS/MS Electrical/Computer Engineering.
6-8 years related and progressive experience, applying MathWorks tools to real-world engineering problems.
Strong preference for experience modeling electrical systems, and multi-domain physical systems using Simulink, Simulink Coder, Embedded Coder and Simscape products.
Programming experience in a high level programming language such as MATLAB, Perl, Python. Knowledge of PC and UNIX environments.
Strong debugging skills and a passion for quality engineering.
Motivated to work directly with customers to understand their real engineering challenges and to help them understand how to apply our products to those challenges.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills. Thrives in a small-team, flexible environment. Track record of success in trouble-shooting, problem-solving and multi-tasking.
