This is a senior level project position responsible in the areas of advanced IT technologies including but not limited to Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization, Cisco, HP SAN Systems, and infrastructure technologies. The Senior Systems Architect will install, configure, and troubleshoot computer equipment and associated components, including operating systems and supporting applications requiring advanced knowledge of the environment and products. The Systems Solutions Architect will serve as a resource for the department as well as clients.
Other responsibilities will be analyzing current client/internal IT infrastructure to provide data to validate functional requirements for company application software. Will assist IT Manager in determining the impact on current existing technologies in IT infrastructure and provides viable solutions. This position ensures Client satisfaction in the initial solution design, provides client guidance, captures technical requirements, and obtains Client acceptance of the technical Solution. Incumbent will successfully meet or exceed business unit goals while maintaining quality standards, controlling expenses, and following company and business unit directives and practices.
Assist in the planning and design of new or upgraded Systems (conversion)
Lead in the evolution of system roadmaps – tactical and strategic component architecture designs will be in compliance with company direction.
Identify and assist the team in communicating action items that result from the information gathering throughout the CHR Solutions organization, including Product Management.
Ability to travel up to 25% by car and/or plane, may include weekend travel; ability to travel internationally is required for some positions. Current passport and valid driver’s license required.
Perform system troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common WAN/LAN component problems.
Travel to client sites for installations and support primarily in Houston area.
Produce documentation for staff and clients.
Research objectively new technology and its impact on corporate systems and make recommendations based on this knowledge.
Ability to lift 50 pounds on a daily basis.
10. Ability to move heavy equipment with use of dolly.
11. Provide services in a professional manner, adhering to all CHR Solutions standards as identified in the Employee Handbook, the performance evaluation system, and other company and departmental programs and policies.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, or related degree preferred
Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
Five or more years’ experience with:
Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and desktop operating systems.
Experience with one or more virtualization technologies - VMware, Citrix, and or Microsoft Hyper –V virtualization technologies
Prefer Cisco routers/switches experience but not required
Experience with HP and Microsoft System Management products preferred
Microsoft Windows Server certification preferred but not required
VMware or Microsoft virtualization certifications preferred but not required
Requires demonstrated proficiency with enterprise level DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, and troubleshooting.
Five or more years of experience in solution architecture
Ability to create Logical and Physical IT and Network Architecture documents
Project Management experience is preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
Ability to effectively utilize MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook). Experience with MS Project preferred
