Horseshoe Cleveland Table Games Academy – Free Training

April 17 th – May 15 th

Have you ever thought about a career in Table Games? We have full time and part time employment opportunities available for Table Games Dealers and Supervisors. We invite you to apply for an opportunity to interview and be selected to participate in our FREE Table Games Training Academy. The Academy will provide a 4 week training program for potential Table Games Dealers and a 6 week training program for those who want to pursue a career as a Table Games Supervisor. The Academy is designed to provide qualified applicants with the skills necessary to embark on a career in the gaming industry. Upon graduation, you may have the opportunity to interview and audition for a Table Games Dealer or Supervisor position at Horseshoe Cleveland.

Job Description:
The Table Games Training Academy is conveniently located at the Employment and Training Center in Tower City Center. The Academy will offer morning, afternoon, and evening classes running Wednesday through Sunday.

All classes are FREE OF CHARGE and taught by experienced, licensed and dedicated instructors who will professionally prepare students to enter the fast-paced casino industry. Enrollees who successfully complete the course will be provided the opportunity to audition for Table Games positions at Horseshoe Cleveland.

Applications for Table Games Dealer Academy are being accepted now through April 12. Space is limited. Must be 21 years of age or older. Interviews, assessments and basic math tests will be administered prior to registration and all must be passed successfully.


You must meet minimum qualifications
The training is on your own time and unpaid
Gaining entry into the program does not guarantee a position with Horseshoe Cleveland or Caesars Entertainment.
Classes will be held Wednesday – Sunday
Participants will not be paid to attend these classes.
Upon successful completion of the Academy, you will be required to audition, apply and meet all necessary qualifications of a Table Games Dealer or Supervisor
Employment may be offered but is not guaranteed

Table Games Dealer

  • Demonstrates an effective working knowledge of dealing policies and gaming procedures
  • Deals games in accordance with internal controls, Ohio Casino Control Commission regulations and company policy.
  • Delivers great customer service by dealing all games offered by Horseshoe Cleveland in a friendly and helpful manner with an upbeat/positive attitude.
  • Safeguard casino assets
  • Responsible for the protection and control of the game
Job Requirements:
  • High School Degree or GED required
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Basic math skills
Table Games Supervisor

  • Supervises the appropriate issuance of credit and player tracking, maintains table games bankroll, prepares periodic reports, performance appraisals and responds to customer inquiries.
  • Provides superior guest service and develops quality players through personal interaction and relationship marketing.
  • Ensures that all table games employees are providing optimum service to all guests at all times.
Job Requirements:
  • High School Degree or GED required – college degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience required
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Basic math skills
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time (4 hours)
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts
  • Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel
  • Respond to visual and aural cues
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives
  • Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
