Lead the Human Resources talent and development initiatives for the Access segment and collaboratively determine the implementation and strategic direction of training programs in support of business objectives. Manage the planning, development, and implementation of training programs and educational opportunities for Oshkosh Corporation employees.


  • Manage the staff and functions of the Employee Development Center.
  • Develop strong relationships with all business functions and determine training and development priorities consistent with business strategy.
  • Develop and direct administration of the performance management process as well as follow up on individual development plans.
  • Lead succession planning process linking employee’s development plans with program offerings. Track, measure and monitor the completion and effectiveness of development and training programs to ensure alignment with the business and workforce development strategies.
  • Initiate assessment tools to support development for leadership.
  • Provide training opportunities in performance management for leaders, including activities and metrics to ensure that goals are consistently being met in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Conduct research into training and development solutions and recommend appropriate implementation.
  • Responsible for developing, managing, enhancing a variety of training and development programs including, learning and development and other programs as assigned.
  • Contract with outside vendors in the development and implementation of training programs.
  • Manage the purchase, distribution, and maintenance of computers, software, audio/visual, and related equipment for the Employee Development Center.
  • Conduct training as appropriate and needed.
  • Responsible for coordinating inter-departmental activities as required by the Employee Development Center.

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent
    • 5 plus years experience in Human Resources in a manufacturing environment with training and development job experience

    • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Adobe Acrobat, and Click-2-Learn Tool Book Instructor software
    • PHR / SPHR certification
