Your Function: The Transaction Manager ensures that transactions are carried out in accordance with credit approvals. Monitors transactions and assesses the quality and value of the collateral to ensure that it is maintained on an ongoing basis within the credit parameters as approved. Monitor liabilities and collateral under borrowing base, ownership based, transactional and clean (unsecured) facilities. Maintain contact with transaction counterparties (clients, shippers, forwarders, warehouse operators, off-takers, other internal departments, etc.) and give relevant authorizations regarding the release/movement of any goods held by the bank as collateral. Maintain position reports per customer detailing exposure, collateral and outstanding transactions to ensure proper allocation in accordance with the approved facility terms. Asses the quality, value and acceptability of collateral provided in line with the approved facility parameters and control the movement and disposal of collateral as required under the approved facility loans. Report positions (per obligor, group, and market) to Global TCF. Collect and collate drawdown information required to process client’s individual transactions. Ensure utilization requests from clients fall within the agreed credit parameters and provide authorizations for each transaction to the back office. Assist with establishing detailed operating rules, procedures and parameters, including administrative organization and internal control (AOIC). Obtain prior credit approval for any transactions which fall outside the agreed facility parameters. Alert RM and risk management of any deterioration in the bank’s credit risk position and any adverse market conditions.
Your Profile: 1. Knowledge of Trade and Commodity Finance products, and Loan administration/Corporate Services. 2. Legal and Facility documentation – Interpretation and administration 3. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills. 4. High organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. 5. Ability to work under pressure. Understanding and interpretation of Rabobank credit applications and legal documentation, (, reporting requirements, collateral documentation, and electronic term sheets. Analysis of financial covenant and borrowing base trends for the NY office. Processes associated with Risk mitigation for BIS II. Excel Spreadsheets Has good working knowledge of processing and accounting for all risk mitigation data and collateral management, Timely and accurate performance of assigned tasks. Contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the area. Represents the Bank with courtesy, tact, efficiency and quality in dealing with customers, risk managers and other departments Ability to work well with all members of the Bank. Flexible to changing situations. Plans and organizes own work, uses time effectively, sets appropriate priorities, and anticipates business needs. Ability to understand complex legal documentation. Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written). Process information logically by applying objective criteria while assessing the information on the Term Sheets and other related documents Pinpoints and analyzes collateral trends. Ability to interpret and apply credit and compliance policies in a middle office environment.
