Participate in evaluating the effectiveness of child development activities at an assigned child development center; ensure the safety and physical well-being of the children and provide responsible support to higher-level teaching staff.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED, plus two (2) years child development, formal day-care or related experience. Child Development Associate (CDA) preschool/infant toddler certification preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred. Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis. Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid C.P.R. certificate within six (6) months from date of hire. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid First Aid certificate within six (6) months from date of hire.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
This is a safety sensitive position and requires a pre-employment physical, drug screening, and random drug/alcohol testing. This is a temporary position. Position requires: Background check, Fingerprint clearance, Pre-employment physical, TB Test. Grant-funded position.
