Major Responsibilities:
Supervise a team of project managers within the Decision Services group to lead and complete client and internally driven projects in an Application Service Provider environment. Provide coaching, mentoring, goal setting, and development for staff.

Maintain an expert-level knowledge of solution offerings, system capabilities, and customer needs and expectations.

Effectively utilize and recommend project and technical management methodologies, best practices and tools.

Interface with clients, business units, vendors, and TransUnion sales force to assure project is running smoothly, effectively, and within budget.

Specific Responsibilities:
Manage team of Project Managers, to include: mentoring, monitoring of performance including input to and/or administration of reviews, workload distribution, goals and expectations.

Monitor the TransUnion solution development lifecycle to assure that the deliverables are met within established processes and guidelines. Create, document, and implement new and updated procedures as needed.

Follow and recognize escalation process when needed for projects.

Server as Subject Matter Expert for the team and internal and external Clients.

Comply with departmental expectations, including status reporting and leading meetings.

Recommend and implement process improvement to optimize expense reduction, customer satisfaction, speed to market, associate morale/skill level, productivie

ty or product quality.

Responsible for assisting with recruiting for open positions.

Major Qualifications:
Seven - eight years of business experience

Four years of Project Management experience in an IT-related industry independently managing the entire life cycle of a project.

Three years of customer contact

Demonstrated experience and leadership in a supervisory role, leading multi-disciplined work teams. Preference is within a transaction-based industry.

Experience working with customers defining business needs and translating them to specifications in written form.

Excellent analytical experience

Information Technology Mainframe Hands-On industry experience.

Flexibility in assignments with the ability to identify technology solutions and determining specific solutions.

Strong listening skills with the ability to assess and understand customers’ needs and the ability to communicate and interact with individuals at all levels – both externally and internally.

Must possess a strong business sense and the ability to collaborate with technical, project management, and testing staff.

Ability to prioritize workloads, multi-task, and manage workday effectively. Credit or financial background preferred.

Four year college degree or comparable experience

Proficient PC skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.

Working knowledge of XML, TSO and SQL, DB2.
