We are looking for a part-time Drug & Alcohol Counselor (Trainee Employee Assistance Program Counselor, TEAP)
You will report to the Manager of Health and Wellness. Responsible for providing an effective trainee employee assistance program (TEAP) with emphasis on awareness, prevention, education, intervention, staff training, employee assistance and networking with community resources, in compliance with government and management directives.
Some essential functions of the position are assisting in developing and revising center operating procedures (SOPs) to be in agreement with the zero tolerance policy and review annually. Participate in new student orientation. During the 30 day probationary period, conduct an assessment of trainees who test positive for drug use on entry. Develop and implement a plan of assistance toward compliance with the zero tolerance policy. Conduct TEAP prevention group programs. Provide on center group counseling services after the training day for trainees who want assistance in staying alcohol/drug/tobacco free. Deliver training to all staff members regarding the zero tolerance drug policy as required in the Policy Handbook. Develop linkages with community resources for TEAP and smoking cessation services. Ensure the documentation of all TEAP assessments and plans are in trainee's medical records.

Bachelor's degree, certified in CA and one year related experience required for Certified/Degreed. Same requirements for Non-degreed except must obtain degree and state certification within a designated time period. Excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency also required.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Drug screen, background check and DMV check before employment.
Salary range: Certified/degreed $17.43-$26.15, Non-degreed $15.81-$23.72
