Work with section engineers and other technicians to set up, execute, tear down and collect data for hydrostatic pressure testing and/or other mechanical testing; make-up and break down high pressure hydraulic pumps, piping, hoses and fittings; move equipment with forklifts and overhead cranes; operate pipe saws and take precise measurements of things like diameter, length and wall thickness; install and connect thermo couples and/or strain gauges for automated data acquisition or to be recorded manually.
    Must pass SwRI Mechanical Assessment test.

    Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 1-5 years experience. Must have good mechanical skills; must have knowledge of hand tools; prior experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing is helpful; must be able to complete mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic systems setup; must be able to work with electrical wires, digital and analog readouts. Must be able to work overtime and some weekends. Must be able to work with forklifts and overhead cranes. Must pass SwRI Mechanical Assessment test. A valid/clear driver's license is required. Primary consideration for this position will be given to qualified candidates currently residing in San Antonio and surrounding areas.
