Will assist the interim director in the overall organization, administration, and supervision of Cornell's vast Intramural Sports program (35+ activities, 150 student employees, 5,000 participants). Responsibilities include a wide variety of administrative and supervisory duties including personnel, officials’ training clinics, risk management, budgeting, publicity/promotions/marketing public relations, rules and policy development, and scheduling of some spring 2013 Intramural Sports.
This position is a temporary appointment from January 4 – May 3, 2013.

Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Leisure Studies or related field preferred.
American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification.
Should have intramural experience including supervising sports and training officials for basketball and softball. Rules and officiating experience with innertube water polo, floor hockey and racquet sports also helpful.
Strong background in sport officiating including training student officials for intramural basketball and softball.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Pagemaker, Filemaker and Web Site management (HTML) and online registration and scheduling software for Intramural Sports.
Excellent organizational skills required to prioritize and manage multiple tasks occurring at the same time.
