Walter B. Jones Alcohoand Drug Abuse Treatment Center is a state facility specializing in substance abuse treatment and co-occurring disorders in Greenville, NC. The Center has IMMEDIATE openings for TEMPORARY registered Nurses. The hourly rate for a Temporary RN is $28.52, which includes shift differential. We have the following positions available:
The successful candidate will plan, direct and implement a comprehensive Multi-faceted program of detoxification and rehabilitation services for a 80 bed inpatient substance abuse center.
- 4 Evening Shift (includes every other weekend)
- 6 Night Shift (includes every other weekend)
- 2 Baylor (12hr shift, 7p to 7a - Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:
Ability to function independently, exercising autonomy. Ability to perform accurate nursing assessments, participate in treatment planning and implementation. Effectively communicate with patients and their family members, and other multi-disciplinary staff members. Possess basic knowledge of quality improvement and assist in the development of nursing policies and procedures. Ability to organize, develop and teach patient education groups, as well as supervise Healthcare Technician, lead patient groups and interactions. Must pass North Carolina Intervention Core Plus within 2 months of employment and continually maintain annual certification thereafter. Must perform CPR as needed and maintain certification bi-annually; walking,lifting,bending, pushing and pulling may also be required as needed. This position functions at the Journey Level, however, Contributing Level competency Nurses will be considered.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of NC by the NC Board of Nursing or an approved Compact State.
