Responsibilities:
The Territory Manager monitors territory performance against established objectives and take the appropriate action to improve performance through sales calls, sales presentations, calculating and quoting prices, taking orders, and providing overall support for the customer. Acting as liaison between the territory and management, the territory manager would continually analyze the region looking for further opportunities and informing management of industry, product, economic, and other territory changes that may impact sales and overall company business.
Qualifications:
The Territory Manager position requires a minimum of a 4 year degree in a business or marketing related field and at least 5 years progressively responsible work related experience. Excellent oral and written communications skills a must. A knowledge of industry terms, concepts and practices such as basic accounting, product development, manufacturing processes, distribution, and customer service helpful. Ability to travel is required. A working proficiency of programs such as Word, Excel, and basic e-mail required. Prior experience with rugs a plus.
