Seeking a Compassionate, Certified/Trained Medication Aide needed at our Parkview facility, to support the Nursing staff in preparing, administering, pouring, passing and documenting all routinely prescribed medications, except by the injection route, and except for PRN medication which must be given only when so instructed by a licensed nurse. Will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Experience preferred but new graduates are encouraged to apply. Wage is DOE. AA/EEO employer.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Administer and document regularly prescribed medications which the medication aide is permitted to administer only after personally preparing those medications to be administered.
- Take and record vital signs prior to administration of medications which could affect or change vital signs.
- Observe and report to licensed nurse reactions and side effects of medication commonly administered to nursing facility's residents.
- May administer oral, sublingual, topical, ophthalmic, optic, nasal and inhalant methods except as otherwise provide by state regulations.
Current licensed Certified Medication Aide.
Experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Drug testing is applicable as state law allows.
