Mistras Group Limited, formerly Physical Acoustics, is part of the Mistras Group, (NYSE “MG”), a world leader in the provision of advanced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and condition monitoring (CM) equipment and services. The company is in a dynamic process of developing from being an equipment manufacturer and specialist NDT service provider into a complete NDT service provider. This opportunity is to work within our applications team helping to support the growth of the company and its continued development. You would be working on a diverse range of projects with the opportunity to work in many industries and with different technologies. Your role would encompass product and service sales, applications development, project management and technical support to customers and our worldwide subsidiaries. The main technologies that you would need to become familiar with would be acoustic emission (AE), ultrasonics (UT) and vibration. Opportunities to work with other inspection technologies such as computer radiography, guided wave, phased array will present themselves. In addition you will be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Demonstration of practicable planning and delivery skills as well as experience in managing projects is desirable. The roles require regular travel within the UK and overseas according to the demands of projects running at any time. Mistras will support employees providing all training in NDT techniques and personal development as required. Experience: To apply for our position, you will:
• Be a Graduate Engineer possibly with a relevant Postgraduate qualification.
• Experience or awareness of NDT would be an advantage.
• Experience in industry (Oil and Gas, Civil, Power, Manufacturing) would be an advantage.
• Have high quality report writing and communication skills.
• Be computer literate ideally with experience of data analysis.
• Hold a full driving license and passport.
