Reports to Assistant Directors of the Division of Outreach Services, Is responsible for improving the expertise of educational staff providing applied behavior analytic services to students with autism. Maintains current standards regarding recent advances in the field of autism, and heightens the quality of services provided to students with autism. Responsibilities include consulting, teaching, and modeling Applied Behavior Analysis Methodology for educational staff in the community who instruct learners with autism. Assesses training needs and priorities for educational staff, and works with the director and assistant director of Douglass Outreach in developing new training techniques and priorities for community-based programs. Consults with and leads teams of educators responsible for home-based programs.

Job Requirements
Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree (master's preferred) in applied behavior analysis, education, special education, psychology, or related field, plus a minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with autism using applied behavior analytic techniques, and experience with behavioral technology, data anagement, goal assessment and planning, and consultation. Five years of experience is preferred. Also requires certification in Applied Behavior Analysis or eligibility; solid interpersonal communication skills; computer literacy; and a demonstrated high level of competence within a variety of areas of Applied Behavior Analysis, such as basic principles, data collection and analysis, ethical considerations, reinforcement, discrete trial instruction, verbal behavior programming, and fluency-based instruction. .

Special Conditions
Selected candidates will be subject to a criminal history background check and will be responsible for the costs incurred. In accordance with New Jersey state law, applicants must agree to undergo and authorize the university to conduct fingerprint, criminal history, and/or child abuse record checks with various law enforcement agencies, including but not limited to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Identification Division and/or the New Jersey Division of State Police, Bureau of Identification. Applicants must also assume any costs incurred by the university associated with the background investigations, whether required by statute or not. In accordance with state-mandated requirements, a Mantoux test will be administered to the successful applicant to verify the absence of tuberculosis. In addition, the successful applicant, at the cost of the university, will be required to be inoculated against Hepatitis B unless the successful applicant waives this vaccination in writing
