MASSACHUSETTS ARMY NATIONAL GUARD

TECHNICIAN VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

This position is open to all current members of the Massachusetts Army National Guard.

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the Massachusetts Army National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. You must submit the required OF 306, or you will be disqualified DUTIES:
This position is located in the Regional Training Institute (RTI). Performs a variety of staff level work to ensure the success of the Department of the Army (DA) training mission requirements based on the Army Program for Individual Training (ARPRINT). Work will involve training program development, administration, supervision of instruction of a training program in an occupation, trade, or subject requiring subject-matter knowledge of the occupations or subject to be taught and a practical knowledge of the methods and techniques or instructions.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Experience in a trade, craft, occupation or subject appropriate to the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must have at least 24 months experience, education or training which included administrative duties concerned with general office administration. Experience organizing and developing clear and meaningful written communications such as reports, studies and the ability to present ideas orally in a clear and convincing manner. Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with individuals and institutions having different interests. Experience developing training course work or providing instruction in a training environment. Experience coordinating and acquiring training materials.

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - High school graduate or the equivalent may be substituted for 3 months of specialized experience. Education in schools above the high school level may be substituted for experience on the basis of one academic year of study (i.e., 36 weeks of substantially full-time hours, or the equivalent) for the first 12 months of the required experience. For experience in excess of 24 months, education in schools above the high school level may be substituted at the rate of one academic year of education for six months of experience. Each 30 semester hours credited must have included at least 6 semester hours of courses which are directly related to the type of work of the position.
