This position supports student enrollment by evaluating transfer students academic records and military coursework from other academic institutions. Employees in this job classification are responsible for utilizing the student evaluation system, including degree audit and academic transcripts, in determining the efficacy and accuracy in processing the evaluation of student academic records; and responsible for performing accurate credential evaluation in the processing of student grades, transcripts, academic credentials, and other relevant academic information in accordance with current policy and procedure. Performs related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree required. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
Three or more years of experience in evaluation of student academic transcripts and/or related experiences in admissions, advisement, and student records. Bilingual (i.e., Spanish, French, and/or Creole) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge, understanding and skills in area of responsibility; including an understanding of concepts and principles of related areas and functions. Ability to manage own work to job and performance standards. Ability to participate as an active team member Ability to lead a group of employees Requires intermediate to advanced knowledge of computer systems, i.e. Microsoft Office Products as well as specialized computer systems Ability to interact and effectively communicate with a diverse employee and student population
