Under general direction, services client orders, ensuring on-time pick-up and delivery performance consistent with corporate objectives. Communicates with managed customers, agents, van operators, vendors, and other personnel to maximize equipment utilization, profitability, and service while adhering to van line policies and procedures.

Essential Duties:

• Acts as the liaison between Government Transportation, Allegiant Move Management and the operations departments of our transportation service providers to ensure high customer satisfaction and efficient use of available hauling capacity.
• Monitors all government transportation traffic to ensure that on-time pick-up and delivery performance is achieved according to customer requests.
• Provides alternative transportation solutions for distressed shipments utilizing full array of assets available, i.e. vans, trailers, and containers.
• Independently communicates and negotiates with the agency system concerning order, assignment changes and unique orders requirements.
• Communicates with other planners, dispatchers, van operators, vendors, and customers to ensure that commitments are kept.
• Resolves and documents problem situations in a timely, thorough manner.
• Creates operational reporting needs for management and account managers.
• Ensure weighing and reweighing procedures are followed.
• Relays pertinent operations information to other departments (i.e., Customer Service, Claims, Safety, etc.).
• Monitors various reports pertaining to G-11’s, delays, on pick-ups and on-time deliveries.
• Makes independent decisions which include and ensure that expenditures of additional monies are kept within department guidelines.
• Performs a variety of other duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, transportation, logistics or a business related field of study.
• Relevant business experience (such as logistics, shipping, dispatching, planning).
• Knowledge of U.S. geography (locations of and relative distances between major cities).
• Willing and able to work additional hours and varying schedules to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Ability to work on a team and/or independently.
• Exhibit highly effective analytical, decision-making, and written/verbal communication skills, investigate and resolve complex business problems, develop effective recommendations, negotiate and/or present solutions in a highly professional and tactful manner.
• Highly organized and able to set priorities effectively.
• Ability to use email, Microsoft office, internet and web based applications on a P.C.; able to access, enter, modify, and retrieve data as well as compose correspondence and develop a variety of business reports.
• Willing and able to travel as required to out-of-town locations (including weekends) and use public transportation vehicles.

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

• Two or more years of transportation/operations experience.
• Highly organized and able to set priorities effectively.
• Ability to use mainframe systems.
