-Support to transportation with dispatch area, lead training, and to meet and maintain production standards.
-Work within the department and many areas of the organization, but not limited to; logistics, COP, corporate, vendors, dispatch, retail, and drivers to maintain company standards and customer service.
-This will be a working leadership position to handle daily functions, issues, and projects and to be seen as a leader and/or go to person in the office under the direction of, and in the absence of, the Transportation Supervisor, Network Manager or Systems Support Manager.
-Coordination of retail deliveries with backhauls, for hire, mixing center loads and DC to DC transfers.
-Maintain all driver qualification files and updates affecting Transportation records and according to DOT regulations.
-Request, verify, create and enter DOT required information for new driver qualification files.
-Assist leadership in transportation with questions and information regarding driver qualification.
-Oversee and coordinate driver employee status reports.
-Distribute monthly driver qualification status reports and reminders to drivers of upcoming expirations so they can remain qualified as prescribed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulation.
-Responsible for processing driver payroll. Verify by using trip pay sheet, dispatch delay report, truck shop delay report, store delay report and all required standard reports.
-Coordination and compile reports for backhauls, for hire, mixing center, and transfers for Inbound Scheduling Network as needed.
-Monitor loads for each distribution center to minimize empty miles, out of balance lanes and coordinate with logistics and buyers to minimize out of stock conditions.
-Run and review on a daily basis the Backhaul Imbalance Report used to forecast loads.
-Reporting to Accounts Payable with reconciling of billing for vendor detention and preparation of freight bills were applicable.
Maintain files and reports of vehicle roadside inspections and over-weights.
-Handle phone calls from store personnel, vendors, and other partnerships regarding service issues & special requests.
-Evaluate coordination of loads to ensure efficient and timely loads deliveries to our stores.
-Systems administrator, educator and coordinator of technical support, trouble shooting and upgrade testing as well as enhancement recommendations with ROI Maintain, validate and reconcile fuel inventory records for reporting with suppliers, A/P and tax department.
-Compile MPG reporting Work with Corporate Fleet manager, with trailer inventory, utilization, tractor replacement, trailer non-movement reporting, and trailer tracking.
-Work with other departments within the facility to achieve and maintain overall production standards.
-Ensure compliance with Delhaize America standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.
-Some overnight travel and willingness to work a flexible schedule
