In keeping with the Dignity Health core values and under direction of the Transportation Supervisor, the Transporter is responsible for transporting patients to various hospital locations, delivering patient charts, tests and so forth to appropriate locations, picks up and stores supplies, and assists in maintaining a variety of non-complex transportation related records including name of patient (or material) transported, arrival and departure times, problems encountered and so forth.

REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma, current BLS certification and the ability to read in order to ensure correct patient and/or materials/equipment is transported and to write in order to maintain non-complex records on patient names, pick-up sites, delivery times and so forth and the ability to understand and follow non-complex written and verbal instructions in order to transport patients to appropriate hospital locations required. Hospital experience working with patient transportation preferred.

This position is represented by SEIU, Local 399 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
