This position is responsible for the visualization and interpretation of technical, legal, and procedural subjects and translating these concepts into complete video training programs from script to screen. Proficiency operating DVCam and HD cameras and related equipment. Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Encore preferred, as well as familiarity with other Adobe Creative Suite programs. Fills duplication requests. Must be able to work independently and as a team member. Occasional travel and night or weekend work may be required. Selected candidate will undergo and must successfully complete a comprehensive background investigation. This position is subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies:
Working knowledge of the techniques, practices, and methods associated with organizing, developing, producing, and directing video productions. Specific skills include: knowledge and proficiency with current video production equipment including high definition and standard definition video cameras; non-linear editing systems; playback and recording decks; video monitors; audio recording hardware; standard indoor and outdoor lighting techniques; post-production graphic design and special effects; familiarity with chroma key/green screen techniques; scriptwriting and storyboarding; encoding video for various delivery formats.
Must possess the ability to use personal computers, including the use of word processing software, Internet, and E-mail. Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally, including the ability to write video production scripts which meet client objectives.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Graduation from a four-year college/university in radio/television/motion picture, mass communications or other related field, and one year of experience in video production related work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Management prefers an individual that is proficient in the Adobe Premier Pro editing system and experienced in encoding for CD, DVD, and internet. Management also requires that applicants submit, in addition to the state application, a demo reel sample and script sample, either on disc or via internet.
