Job Title: Tack Truck Driver
Reports To: Jobsite Foreman

Summary: Operate 24 foot can truck hauling asphalt tools and small asphalt roller on a trailer to and from jobs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Working with asphalt crew laying asphalt, fueling equipment.
Insures all tools are kept clean and stored in truck properly.
Utilize hand-held bucket to apply tack at joints, utilities and on curb face.
Maintain daily logs and required paperwork.
Perform pre-trip and post trip inspections of equipment.
May be required to perform other labor/operator related tasks (based on experience, abilities, knowledge of incumbent and direction of Foreman) as necessary in assisting crew with job completion.
Operate truck in a safe and orderly manner according to all Federal, State, and Local regulations.
Observes safety rules and regulations; assists work crews as required. Wears personal protective equipment as required by company policy.

Two years commercial driving experience required; experience with asphalt paving preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information customers and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
No Computer skills needed.
Certificates and Licenses:
Class B CDL with proper endorsements and clean driving history.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
