Freeman is looking for a Talent Development Manager. This position will consult with the hospitality Audio Visual business partners to analyze and determine training needs that will support the desired business results. Additionally this position will propose, develop, implement and deploy the agreed upon training solutions as well as work to leverage applicable enterprise wide training solutions.
Develops and facilitates learning programs that align with the training department’s strategy. Carries out goals and objectives in support of the training department.
Serves as a consultant to business units and conducts needs analysis within the organization to develop solutions that achieve the desired performance outcomes.
Partners with the appropriate subject matter experts to design, develop and deploy agreed upon learning solutions.
Evaluates and develops metrics to measure program effectiveness and to ensure solutions are contributing to desired results.
Confers with management to gain knowledge of specific work situations requiring employee development to improve performance.
Travels to business locations and assists with the training of personnel and provides business unit support as requested.
Assists in the development of departmental and business unit standard operating procedures as needed.
Formulates teaching and determines instructional methods for job specific and soft skill development in all training tracks.
Supervises select employees who plan, administer and conduct programs and specialized training sessions.
Revises design of training curriculum and training methods to improve effectiveness.
Stays abreast of learning practices through self development and training with industry specific organizations.
Participates in continuing education opportunities as identified by supervisor.
Assumes additional assigned responsibilities as determined by Freeman Learning leadership.
Maintains knowledge and expertise in designated/assigned area of training through continued interaction and collaboration with designated/assigned department subject matter experts.
Works with representatives from various companies and locatons to gain knowledge that will enhance training programs.
Now that you know what this position does, do you have the background to do the job?
College Degree or four (4) or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven execution of ADDIE method for effective development of learning content.
Must exhibit excellent customer service/people skills when dealing with clients and staff.
Must be an effective communicator with ability to speak effectively to present information and facilitate discussions are subject matter being taught.
Must possess excellent writing and editing skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, working knowledge of Excel.
Knowledge of other training development software a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to evaluate processes and procedures and develop curriculum on topic.
Ability to multi-task and work under established deadlines.
Ability to instruct and demonstrate how to perform operation in assigned area of learning.
Training experience and demonstrated ability in training effectiveness is required.
Self motivated, assertive, detail-oriented and dependable with a collaborative team approach.
Knowledge/Experience in audio visual/presentation technology equipment is preferred.
Knowledge of Hotel industry preferred.
