ESSENTIAL DUTIES

AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partners with company leadership to identify learning & development needs and design appropriate strategies to address professional, industry, functional , sales, technical knowledge and skill building needs

Drives ongoing learning needs analysis, design, development, assessment, implementation, communication and evaluation of training programs to ensure alignment with business strategies

Builds credibility and acts independently to partner with business clients by understanding products, services, key customers, competitive landscape, business performance, key success factors, issues, and obstacles

Develops processes and standards required to ensure instructional design quality, technology and overall learning effectiveness from storyboarding through implementation

Tracks, using proven project management approaches, all training and development programs against relevant schedule, budget and learning objectives; monitor and track training results and effectiveness

Conducts comprehensive needs assessments; determines education, learning, and development priorities based on assessed needs, business impact and available resources.

Recommends alternatives and enhancements to training programs as appropriate.

Determines the education, learning, and development needs that link directly to transformational change, business results, and enterprise objectives

Creates the learning strategy and plan of execution for supported business / function

Collaborates with functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop practical, effective learning solutions.

Designs, conducts, and/or brokers the delivery of training programs from a variety of resources.

Determines whether to buy, rent, or build learning interventions.

Researches, evaluates, and selects outside programs, consultants to meet training needs as appropriate.

Champions and leads the growth and process standardization of virtual learning through the corporate Learning Management System (LMS)

Delivers effective solutions within appropriate budgets and time parameters

Qualifications

Education/Training:
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Human Resources or related field required; Master’s degree preferred

Related Experience:
7+ years experience as a learning practitioner within a large corporate learning and/or OD environment.

Demonstrated track record of utilizing practical and effective instructional design techniques to perform needs assessment, define learning objectives, design and develop learning solutions and measure business impact

Successful and in-depth L&D background with demonstrated strengths in design, development and delivery of measurably high-impact learning solutions

Background in instructional design and content development through a range of delivery methods (including e-learning, social media, distance learning, instructor led, blended and mobile learning)

Demonstrated experience partnering with business/ organizational leaders, learning consultants, and facilitators to translate business performance gaps into effective, measurable learning solutions

Experience driving the value and utilization of a Learning Management System

Background in instructional design and content development through a range of delivery methods (including e-learning, instructor led, blended and mobile learning) and evaluation.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of projects with varying levels of complexity to successful completion

Knowledge and demonstrated mastery of adult learning styles, instructional design and an ability to operationalize learning best practices in a complex, corporate environment

Proven understanding of instructional design/authoring software

Strong influence, negotiation, creative problem solving and people management skills

Ability to build relationships with business partners, HR colleagues and vendors and proven success in consulting at all organizational levels

Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, facilitation and professional speaking skills

Strong collaboration and partnering skills with network members, including HR professionals

Excellent creative problem solving and project management skills.

Superb communication skills and ability to relate well with people at all levels.

Instructional Systems Design (ISD), learning effectiveness measures (levels 1-4 and ROI), project management, influence management, web-based training, advanced platform/presentation skills.

Physical Requirements

Must have the ability to travel up to 25%
