Creates designs, modifies, updates, and maintains classroom based, online, or e-learning technical or developmentally oriented training materials or modules. Responsible for the set-up and scheduling of training facilities and necessary resources. Conducts classroom and on-line training. Updates and maintains development records, manuals and materials. Coordinates and facilitates meetings, trainings, projects, or events associated with special programs, committees, or developmental initiatives. Works with other departments, project leads, etc. to understand business needs and to recommend associated training/development interventions for target employees. Performs all other duties as assigned. Implements and performs according to established TDECU REAL standards.

1. Administration

Creates and/or assists the Talent Development (TD) team with the creation, testing, updating and maintenance of classroom based, online or e-learning training materials or modules. Uploads to appropriate systems and ensures that the most up-to-date versions are available for employee use.

Creates reports, tracks, maintains, and uploads training and compliance data or records to appropriate systems.

Coordinates meetings, trainings, projects, or events associated with special programs, committees, or developmental initiatives.

Attends meetings or participates on project teams regarding but not limited to policy/procedure updates, software upgrades and implementations. Provides TD team and the Talent Support Services group (TSS) with updates. Recommends action, if appropriate, to ensure TD materials, courses, etc., are in alignment with changes or new developments. Implements recommendations as needed.

Prints and assembles manuals and other materials for training events.

Assists employees by locating TDECU policies, procedures, or training and development materials.

2. Delivery

Conducts in-person development/training sessions at diverse geographic locations and virtual training/development sessions using appropriate activities, materials, delivery styles, software and resources.

Facilitates and leads meetings, trainings, project announcements, or events associated with special programs, committees, or developmental initiatives.

Organizes and manages training events including scheduling, enrollment, room set-up, audio/visual set-up, material delivery, and refreshment delivery if applicable.

3. Analysis and Reporting

Designs and implements surveys to measure effectiveness of training or development interventions on multiple evaluation levels. Analyzes survey results and feedback to develop recommendations for course improvement and implements accordingly.

Assists product managers, business leaders, and department heads in conducting needs analysis. Identifies developmental gaps and recommends solutions. Creates and facilitates implementation of solutions with approval.

Completes reports to assist with the tracking of TD initiatives.

4. Community Relations

Actively participates in and attends internal and external community relations activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
(Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

1. Education

Bachelors or four year degree from an accredited institution of higher learning or equivalent education and work experience is required.

2. Experience

Three to five years of similar work experience is required.

Preferred experience areas include instructional design, delivery, or financial services.

3. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.

Ability to work within a team.

Working knowledge of principles and methods of curriculum design and delivery.

Ability to apply knowledge of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of compositions, and grammar.

Ability to produce instructionally sound materials.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Attendance Requirements:
Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. This means that the employee is required to report to work on time and must remain available to clients during scheduled hours.

This position requires face-to-face interaction in person or by telephone and e-mail with customers, clients, and vendors.
