Alfa Laval Inc USA, is looking for Tax Accountant.
Tax Accountant Participates in assuring corporate tax and regulatory compliance for the Alfa Laval U.S. Group through the timely and accurate completion of over 700 annual filings.
Expectations & Responsibilities:
Corporate Income Tax Compliance
§ Prepares assigned federal, state, and local tax filings.
o Consolidated federal return (19 companies)
o Unitary and separate company state and local returns (38 states)
o Federal, state, and local quarterly estimates
o Annual extensions
§ Resolves issues arising from regulatory correspondence, inquiries, and audits.
§ Collects and reviews data from all U.S. Group companies.
International Tax Compliance
§ Prepares assigned transfer pricing documentation for U.S. Group companies.
§ Prepares annual CFC reports.
§ Conducts research and analysis on international tax issues .
Internal Financial Reporting (In accordance with International Accounting Standards – IFRS/GAAP)
§ Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provisions (FAS109/IAS12).
§ Reconciles all tax accounts and the annual tax provision.
§ Calculates and maintains federal and state effective tax rates for all U.S. Group companies.
§ Supports quarterly and year-end audit work.
§ Assists with tax and regulatory compliance for 15 subsidiaries, including return preparation, research, and analysis .
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities of the Successful Candidate:
Interested and qualified candidates should email
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
- Advanced degree in Taxation, Accounting or Business a plus.
- CPA designation a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in tax at the corporate level or in public accounting.
- Knowledge of corporate tax at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Working knowledge of all other tax and regulatory compliance areas.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and technical skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- Innovative, problem solver.
- Organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
- Proficient with computers and various software platforms like Microsoft Office (emphasis in Excel)
