This position is being newly created. It will consolidate tax duties historically managed by the CFO and the Financial Controller.
Position Responsibilities: Responsibilities of the Tax Director will include the following: • Manage and prepare the company's quarterly and annual domestic and international tax accrual calculations and related footnote disclosures in compliance with ASC 740
- Manage the identification and tracking of any uncertain tax positions as per ASC 740 • Provide accurate and timely oversight of the tax compliance process for federal, state, and local income and franchise taxes in the U.S. jurisdictions where the company operates • Seek to identify domestic and international tax planning opportunities and strategies to help reduce the company's overall effective tax rate • Provide tax analysis of strategic business opportunities/decisions to senior management • Assist in evaluation and selection of local country tax and legal services providers • Coordinate, manage, and oversee activities of outside professional services firms • Prioritize and determine which tax activities to handle in-house and externally • Manage tax jurisdiction audits, communication with agents, information requests, etc. • Manage transfer pricing studies and related agreements between affiliated companies • Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments and annual extensions of time to file • Coordinate tax payments with Treasurer • Advise senior management of the impact of legislative changes in the U.S. and relevant international tax laws where the company operates • Manage the company's U.S. property tax filings and compliance • Coordinate and assist with R&D tax incentive studies and documentation
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA certification •Minimum of 4 - 6 years of tax experience with exposure to federal, state and international tax compliance • Hands-on experience with ASC 740 reporting in financial statements • Strong communication skills and maturity required to interface with senior management • Strong organizational skills, attention to details, forward thinker.
