Responsible for preparing responses to federal and state examining agent/auditor requests for information to support positions taken by the Company on its federal and state tax filings.
•Prepare responses and underlying work papers to federal and state examining agent/auditor requests for information.
•Perform tax research for federal and state income/franchise tax issues.
•Prepare calculations / tax models to compute revisions to taxable income which result from examinations and/or proposed adjustments.
•Assists with special projects to the extent needed.
•Provides guidance and assistance to less experienced staff.
•Assists with the preparation of federal and state income tax returns for various entities to the extent needed.
•Seeks out ways to improve work processes.

High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's in Accounting perferred. A minimum of five years experience in accounting or corporate federal tax is required, preferably in a similar industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Personal computer knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required. Knowledge of tax preparation software program OneSource and general ledger program SAP, preferred. Must have experience performing tax research using tax services such as CCH, RIA, BNA, etc. Work independently and efficiently. Manage personnel and processes well. Identify issues and resolve problems.
