Devereux New York touches the lives of nearly 300 children, adolescents, adults, and their families with special needs, from the entire New York state region. Individuals with emotional, behavioral, and developmental disabilities are served via a broad spectrum of treatment settings including campus based homes, community-based homes and supported apartments, vocational and pre-vocational training programs, campus based educational programs, MSC services, and consulting services. Devereux New York is seeking a Teacher Assistant for our campus located in Red Hook, NY. The Teacher Assistant will oversee intellectually and developmentally disabled children & adults, and partner with these individuals to facilitate daily care, enhance personal development, foster self-esteem, and meet or exceed individualized goals for success.
The hours for this position are part-time. Compensation is commensurate with relevant experience and education.
The primary purpose of Devereux is to provide quality service to those entrusted to our care by their families, guardians, agencies, and other designated parties.
