Provide supervision and leadership to team of application analysts ensuring timely delivery and accurate results. Elicit functional requirements using a variety of techniques and tools such as interviews, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, task and workflow analysis. Interpret customer business needs using analytical skills combined with technical expertise to create system requirements and technical specifications. Develop test plans and review new and modified systems and programs to ensure all programs and systems meet customer business needs, internal standards, and efficiency requirements. Analyze, develop, maintain, and modify complex information systems in a diverse technical environment to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Analyze and review the technical infrastructure for existing and new enterprise information systems to ensure the effective utilization of vendor systems, technology standards, and local modifications so that these information systems remain viable and sustainable over time from an enterprise perspective. Act as a technical member of ad-hoc teams by providing assistance and expertise and by performing assigned tasks and objectives as part of the implementation, development, and maintenance of enterprise information systems.

Minimum Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree -Experience in business process analysis and requirements gathering -Demonstrated experience in systems analysis and development of web applications, automated processes, and/or reports that use a relational database system such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL -Demonstrated experience using modern development and design methodologies in one or more programming languages -Working knowledge of SQL and relational database design -Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment -Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines -Demonstrated ability to anticipate potential problems, determine and implement solutions -Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications
-BachelorĂ¢??s degree or higher in Business Information Technology, Computer Science or related field -Strong coaching skills. Ability to step outside role confines and help teach and enable other team members. -Experience with business processes and applications supporting higher education -Experience working with Ellucian (formerly SunGard HE) Banner systems -Experience using one or more programming languages to perform database queries, modifications, and database transactions -Experience with Oracle PL/SQL development -Experience with Test Driven Development and/or Agile Development -Experience using object-oriented development and design methodologies -Experience with additional programming languages such as Java/J2EE, Groovy, Ruby, Python, PERL, PHP, .NET, or JSP -Experience programming using web application frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Grails, ZK, or Rails -Experience using JavaScript, DHTML, AJAX, HTML, XHTML, and/or XML -Experience using build and dependency management tools such as Maven, Ant, Ivy, or Gradle
