Works closely with customers and managed services teams to manage the life cycle of highly complex, high risk projects from design through customer and Customer Service turnover. Manages the delivery of managed services for EMC engagements. Responsible for the delivery of a project/program implementation plan that articulates the role of EMC in the delivery of the designed solution. Ensures implementation of project/program activities is coordinated with EMC partner resources, if necessary. Manages the staff that is the primary interface to the customer, vendor and all EMC personnel associated with the engagement.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures the delivery of multiple or highly complex project plans. Accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer and sales. May prepare detailed project plans, strategies and project management plan for the implementation of an engagement within the standards of project management methodologies. Requirements are categorized into a project plan detailing schedules, controls, resources, costs and daily tasks. Responsible for creating goals and milestones within a project to ensure EMC''s commitments to the customer are achieved. Ensures projects stay within scope.
Prepares, maintains and submits clear & concise activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports in accordance with published procedures. Communicates to all concerned parties project milestones, status updates, as well as any existing or potential customer escalation issues. Proactively follows escalation and change control processes. Has overall ownership of all management reports on a given engagement.
Stays abreast of current industry trends and new technology through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars. May monitor employee job performance and may provide coaching, counseling, and motivation to maximize employee performance. Assists functional manager with the recruiting and hiring employees, based on global profiles, who can help grow and drive business.
Articulates the full value of EMC solutions and services benefit to the customer. Ensures and provides a single point of contact from within his/her team during the project. Ensures a strong and seamless relationship by maintaining communications about the project to the team: sales, customers and delivery personnel.
Ensure customer satisfaction is met by maintaining process quality through the execution of the quality management program.
Provides employees with on-going cross-training opportunities on a variety of EMC products by utilizing classroom, OTJ, WEB based training and brown bag lunches.
**Ability to work remotely**
Experience leading multiple teams on different customers with overall knowledge of BRS technologies and familiarity with EMC products (Avamar, Data Domain or Networker).
5+ years of BRS technologies and familiarity with EMC products (Avamar, Data Domain or Networker) is a must
