Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED. • 2 years experience in a customer service environment or healthcare setting. • One year DMC associate, preferred. • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Good PC skills; able to type 25 wpm with good accuracy. • Demonstrated customer service skills. • Previous experience supporting, training and mentoring others. • Proven ability to use good judgment in stressful situations. • Ability to learn medical terminology; if applicable. • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks. • Previous experience with EMR and/or scheduling systems a plus. N/A • Ability to pass pre-employment physical (and physical lift test, if required by department policy). • Ability to complete all required training. • Able to rotate shifts and locations to ensure adequate coverage as needed.
Job Description:
Under the direction of the department manager or supervisor, oversees and coordinates day-to-day accountabilities for approximately 5 – 12 direct reports in assigned department(s) while ensuring policies, procedures, safety regulations and Behavioral Expectations are consistently followed. Provides support, training, guidance and acts as a resource to direct reports to maintain and enhance department processes. The Team Lead will act as a first line of contact for the staff when problems with equipment, patients, or other departmental issues arise. Responsible for accountabilities as dictated by department work standard. Accountabilities: 1. Responsible for daily team operations and works to ensure overall work standards and goals are achieved. 2. Under the direction of the department head, performs Team Lead responsibilities which support the day-to-day operation of the department/unit, while upholding clinic policies, acting in a manner consistent with Behavior Expectations and serving as a role model. 3. Supports supervisor/manager in a variety of department/administrative functions as directed. 4. Self development Usual hours: Monday through Friday, with various start and end times. Will be expected to cover occasional hours in the evening and on Saturdays during staff shortages. Must be flexible.
