Essential Responsibilities
  • Shape, market, sell and implement global, world-class digital technology solutions, platforms, processes and systems for New Media & Emerging Technologies, Colab, CIS, the UX COE, the Software COE and the Digital Leadership Community
  • Manage all phases of multiple, simultaneous, large scale initiatives in the NMT portfolio. This will include all aspects of client engagement including business development, marketing and sales, program initiation, site visits, user research, and working closely with the NMT UX team and development team on delivery
  • Lead the JRI/Lee Cooper implementation for Customer 360 / GENIUS in partnership with the NMT tech leader and the 360 team
  • Provide leadership, new thinking, and ownership of all Colab front-end activities
  • Learn, internalize and develop a strong understanding of key priorities and metrics for the UX and Software COE leaders, and develop comprehensive and tactical digital solutions to address their needs
  • Develop and maintain a P&L for development within CIS/UX COE/Software COE/GE businesses
  • Benchmark and perform competitive analysis of GE’s key competitors and emerging leaders
  • Set technology direction to ensure systems are developed to accommodate future trends. Identify and articulate data requirements to the team for development
  • Provide day-to-day work direction and strategic planning for short, medium and long term projects and next generation systems and standards
  • Aligns with business leaders to ensure that data and process changes required in systems are implemented in accordance with overall project objectives and timelines
  • Reviews and prioritizes all proposed IT initiatives including: cost/benefit analysis, scalable strategy, resource requirements, budget and controllership issues, and roll-out strategy
  • Partner with other business leaders, as well as the IT team to help define the strategic vision for application environment(s) that meet business needs while working to identify cost-out opportunities
  • Work with system leaders and functional teams to review new and existing processes, ensuring compliance and controllership
  • Lead the implementation of strategic initiatives, helping to align with global standards
  • Utilize project management tools to track progress and recognize key risk areas for specific implementations
  • Contribute to GE’s Growth Playbook ensuring proper resource models for systems support of key initiatives
  • Assist in the resolution of conflicting priorities through the proactive communication of requirements, timelines, and stakeholders
  • Hands on leader that serves as subject matter and technical expert for assigned area processes and supporting applications functionality including data warehouses and reporting tools
  • Deliver on IT’s 4 strategic imperatives

    Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or other technical / IT field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology or similar field, including demonstrated ability to lead a team, business development, marketing, interfacing with clients, and administering a budget
  • Minimum 8 years proven experience with project management methodologies including minimum 3 years hands-on experience planning and executing IT projects
  • Minimum 2 years of experience recruiting, hiring, leading and developing teams of employees
  • Minimum 6 years managing enterprise mission critical applications and leading on & off-shore development teams, managing customers, budgeting and controllership
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working on strategic projects for corporate marketing and sales teams, coupled with other executive IT related projects Eligibility Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and presentation skills
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration / Information Technology
  • Six Sigma Certified
  • IMLP Program graduate
  • Extensive knowledge of GE systems and structure
