In order to fully understand the business complexity Team Lead Production candidates will be given exposure to critical knowledge areas in the milling industry which may include; Mill(s), Flour Blending, Quality, Packing, Warehouse and Loading, Laboratory, and Maintenance.
Position will lead team members to manage all daily operations within the packaging, load and warehouse departments.
A Team Lead will manage production staff to attain production and quality goals.
Identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves issues. Ensures production resources including materials, equipment and will maintain production schedules.
Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost and customer service.

Supervises activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation to ensure continuous production operations. Participates in development of preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering department. Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
Oversees the production and shipment of quality products to fulfill customer requirements. Controls and effectively utilizes the production capacity, manpower and equipment and outside resources through planning, organizing and scheduling to minimize losses; works within the framework of the budget to optimize company profitability.
Maintain cost effective programs and practices that are consistent with plants.
Communication & Business Support Communicate and manage specific enterprise initiatives
Ensure total employee involvement and linkages of individual and team activities to losses and the business need.
Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, safety standards and sanitation practices.
Motivate and enhance skills of direct reports and associates Position Qualifications Bachelors degree preferred:
2-6 years experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
Food or CPG experience is a plus.
Computer Skills Required:
Ability to learn internal computer systems
Knowledge of continuous improvement processes. TPM knowledge highly preferred.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Must be open to shift work.
Excellent oral and written skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Candidates must be open to working all 3 shifts
