The Time Warner Cable New York City region currently seeks a Tech V for our Engineering Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform field walks. Interpret schematic drawing of engineering field walk outs of aerial and underground utility routing.
Performs field surveys
Design, redesign and digitize multiple dwelling units.
Prepare and Design Fiber Optic Cable residential network.
Prepare and digitize floor plan of building outline from field engineer surveys.
Field engineer building for upgrade and plant extensions.
Prepare and complete electronic bill of material.
Develop weekly report on design activities.
Prepare permit drawing for government agency applications.
Engineer and design schematic drawing for special projects, road constructions sewer and water supply projects.
Prepare special projects and other duties as assigned.
Must be at a journeyman level (Tech V) to apply.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED; at least 4 years of previous experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to work with various hand tools such as electric drills, hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. Knowledge of CATV required.
Must to able to read and interpret maps and building plans.
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Able to prioritize while working in a fast paced environment.
Must successfully complete all company required training.
Will also be required to work overtime, weekends and late shifts as needed.
Required to work outdoors in inclement weather.
Must be able to use all safety and climbing equipment.
