As a Technical Architect , you must be able to conceive and deliver, within constraints of scope, quality, time and cost, complete IT solutions utilizing advanced technical skills and a thorough knowledge of the data and systems relevant to Pharmaceutical Contract Management. It will be expected you will oversee technical resources, be accountable for quality of technical deliverables, and adhere to parameters of project schedule and budget.

You will work with client IT staff and internal domain experts to determine needs regarding solution functionality, and make recommendations as appropriate. You must possess the ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision, have exceptional attention to detail and perform consistent work product validation/QA. You will recognize opportunities to leverage advanced technologies to allow end users to perform their activities with greater effectiveness and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage definition, design, construction, quality assurance and delivery of technical work products
  • Lead technical team by working closely with analysts and translating requirements for developers
  • Clearly communicates to both IT and business unit staff the features and limitations of the technical work products
  • Designs solutions with input from project team, client IT staff, and client business personnel as appropriate
  • Documents design and architecture of technical solutions
  • Work closely with project team by assisting in creation of data models, system requirements, technical specifications from user requirements
  • Articulate complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences
  • Manage system changes and keep design documents current; negotiate changes to project plans based on new requirements and/or design constraints
  • Enforce change management processes across all documentation and technical work products
  • Assist in validation of systems against business/functional requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors level degree in a technical discipline and 8 years or greater professional experience
  • Experience architecting large/complex systems and solutions for Pharmaceutical clients in a consulting environment
  • Familiarity with Project Management Institute - PMBOK Methodology and concepts
  • Self-directed, independent thinker that can find creative solutions to problems with an awareness of project parameters and constraints
  • Thorough understanding of health care nomenclature and issues
  • Skilled in visual representations of technical concepts (data models, application architecture diagrams, etc.)
  • Knowledgeable in SDLC processes, roles, responsibilities and deliverables
  • Experience authoring design documents and other technical documentation
  • Strong understanding of e-Business concepts and Web based system technologies
  • Skilled in one or more advanced technology platforms (JEE, .NET, SOA)
  • Experienced with contract management systems (Revitas, ModelN) or data warehouse/business intelligence engagements and related products (Kalido, MDM)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred:
  • Graduate level degree in business or technical discipline and 10 years or greater professional experience
  • PMP certification
