The Technical Assistant position is a full-time position with working hours of 10:30-7:00 or 12:30-9:00 Monday-Friday and is primarily responsible for providing first level technical help desk support in all aspects of the setup and use of a computerized POS system, computer operating systems and hardware, and other Retail Technologies. Duties will include:

Diagnose problems over the phone using pre-described troubleshooting techniques via phone and/or remote software tools. Solve all problems in a timely manner, ensuring accurate first call resolution and customer satisfaction.
Follow proper escalation procedures if first call resolution is not achieved within the appropriate time frame.
Develop technical knowledge by attending training classes and reading technical documents.


HS diploma or GED required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field strongly preferred, and 1+ years of previous Help Desk experience. The ideal candidate must possess knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems and the ability to pick up new technologies quickly as well as basic troubleshooting and good customer service skills. A strong working knowledge of current MS operating systems, MS Office, email clients, ftp clients, and general database structure is also required.
